The Unbreakable Harvey Milk
Thursday, April 3

7:00PM
Fine Arts Center Theatre

$10

The Unbreakable Harvey Milk is a combination of two powerful pieces by the award-winning composer Andrew Lippa. I Am Harvey Milk weaves the story of Milk’s life – from boyhood to his rise as the first openly gay man to hold public office in California to his assassination. Part choral work, part theater piece, I Am Harvey Milk is an emotional celebration of an American icon. Unbreakable presents a historical arc to the experiences of LGBTQ+ people over the last 12 decades, illuminated by stories drawn from real-life stories throughout LGBTQ+ history.

This production is part of NMGMC’s College Tour taking place April 3-6, performing on the campuses of Western New Mexico University (Silver City), New Mexico State University (Las Cruces), Eastern New Mexico University (Portales), and New Mexico Highlands University (Las Vegas).
