DRUMLine Live, the energetic and vibrant new musical phenomenon, will dazzle audiences with an explosive show. Theater goers will be treated to hot choreography and athletic feats performed by steppers, the rhythmic sounds of trumpets, and the speed and pulsating force of the drumline. Don P. Roberts, musical director, was inspired by the hit 2002 movie Drumline starring Nick Cannon and Orlando Jones. Roberts adapted the band’s original outdoor show to thrill audiences with a new version, to be performed live on stage. DRUMLine Live presents the sounds of the great brass past, including Earth, Wind and Fire and Tower of Power side-by-side with the hottest contemporary hip-hop and R&B. The DRUMLine Live cast, assembled from Historically Black Colleges and Universities across the country, is comprised of approximately 40 members who storm the stage for performances ranging from colorful, choreographed routines to heavy doses of drum riffs and cadences.
