The mission of the Creede Repertory Theatre’s Young Audience Outreach Tour is to provide equitable access to high quality theatre and arts education to rural and remote communities across the Southwest. This program annually produces an original, bilingual, musical production for students in grades K-6 and has served 400,000+ young people since its founding 41 years ago. They will be presenting Coyote and the Counting Game based on the book by Diana Grisanti and music by Emiliano Messiez at the Fine Arts Center Theatre on the WNMU Silver City campus.

“Gaby’s having a rough year. She’s failing 3rd grade math, her genius brother is about to go off to college, and her parents won’t buy her the drum set of her dreams. But when a crafty Coyote comes into her life, she discovers that she might be able to trick her way out of her troubles. A modern-day trickster tale, full of fractions, word problems, and good old-fashioned sibling rivalry.”
